MUSTANG 1 has been designed as a linear moved system fed from the hydrants along a distribution buried
pipe,but optional it can be provided with a pump to be fed from a canal, or can be equipped to work as a pivot.
The system can be easily adapted to match the capabilities of the existing irrigiation schemes. The discharge ranges usually from
30 to 80l/s and the necessary pressure is no more than 3 bar.
With this capabilities, MUSTANG 1 provide optimum use of water, land, labor and energy.

­ span lenght: 60m, with the possibility to have systems up to 420m long; the pipe and all structural members are protected with galvanized zinc coating for longer life;
­ standard span weight: 2714 kg;
­ pipe: 168 mm diameter;
­ low pressure sprinkling nozzels and pressure regluators made by NELSON, USA, achieve a very good coefficient of uniformity and precise water distribution; the flow is special designed for the specific needs of the crop and the possibilites of the existing irrigation infrastucture;
­ diesel engine: 12-18kW;
­ motor: 3 phase; 400V;
­ control cicuits: 24VDC;
­ auxiliary circuits: 220VAC;
­ wiring: main power leads ­ 4x2,5 copper, safety control 14x0,5 copper, data transmission 4x0,34 + CY; all fittings are water light;
­ speed of system controlled by compact computer (PLC) and indicated by the percentage of time the towers are allowed to run each minute;
­ electrical control with electronic incremental angle transmittals, connected to PLC through field bus (CAN);switches for alignement safety;
­ low pressure switch;
­ water supply trough a light weight 5" hose, easily movable between hydrants and using a narrow mowing area; optional 6" interior diameter hose can be used for high flow systems; the hose lenght is adjusted to the existing hydrants spacing; in case of canal fed systems the water is taken directly by the pump provided with the system;
­ furrow guidance;
­ end of field and hose shutdown;
­ tower drive: 1hp; 29rpm motor output; plus 51:1 reduction at wheel with 0,56rpm of the wheel /2,12 m/minute maximum speed), heavy duty gear boxes; drive system is similar for all towers;
­ drive shaft: shielded 22mm square, connecting gear motor and gear case at the wheels;
­ swing around system at the end of field for work on both sides of the supply line;
­ tires: high flotation 14.9x24;
