Retractable Roof: Josefsburg Kufstein
The interior roof consists of a folded diaphragm hanging on a steel rope construction,
which can be opened and closed within a short time.
Opening and closing is done fully automatic by simply pressing a button.
First the diaphragm is unfolded with winches.
Close to the end position the diaphragm end points are connected to hydraulic cylinders,
which move them into the final position. Opening the roof is done in reverse order.
The fortress of Kufstein is a jewel in the lower region of Tyrol and a landmark of Kufstein.
The fortress was documented for the first time in 1205.
